Today you will embark on a private Tour to discover the beatiful region of Teruel. Teruel is well known for the Mudejar art, the jamón and the black truffle.
Did you know that Teruel is famous for the story of two lovers that died because of love? Our Spanish Romeo and Juliette were from Teruel and from 13th century.
Teruel is also a gastronomic destination, Jamón, cold-meats and Black Truffle are some of the most important delicacies here are made.
I will pick up you at your hotel at 9:15-9:30 and we will head to Teruel. The drive takes about 1, 5 hours. Then, it’s time to visit the city of Teruel. You will start the walk at the Escalinata Ovalo to reach to the old part, then do a walk with your Tour Leader to see the most important sight in the city, as the Amantes de Teruel grave and the Mudejar style that is World Heritage by UNESCO.
During the tour we will visit the Cathedral, Torre Salvador, Torre San Martín, Torre San Pedro, Torre de la Merced and the church. We will have the opportunity to see the Walls and the Towers to protect the city.
Teruel means art, but also food, soi we will taste some of the local products such as cheese or jamón.
We will have the opportunity to see the famous ‘Torico’, a tiny sculpture of a bull and wander a bit in the old town.
You will have some free time in Teruel if you want to try the local jamón (one of the best jamón serrano in the country), before going back to Valencia where you will arrive about 18:30.
